You clean the glass on a Saturday. By Tuesday the same cloudy patches are back, in the same places, low on the panel and along the bottom of the door. So you buy a stronger spray. It holds for a few days. The problem is that you are treating the spots as dirt. They are not dirt. They are what your water leaves behind every time it dries on the glass.

Tap water carries dissolved minerals. When a film of it sits on a pane and evaporates, the water goes and the minerals stay, in the shape of the drops. Every shower lays down a fresh coat. Cleaning removes what has already set. It does nothing about the coat going on tomorrow morning.

A squeegee works at the other end. One pass pulls the water down the glass before it can dry and leave the spots behind. There is no chemistry to it and nothing to rinse. You take the water off while it is still water, and what is not there cannot dry into anything.

That only works if the tool is already in the shower with you. The hook is part of this one, so it has somewhere to live within reach of where you finish, instead of in a cupboard. That sounds like a small thing. It is the whole thing. A squeegee you have to go and fetch is a squeegee you stop fetching.

There are two things it will not do. It will not touch the haze already on your glass. If the panel is cloudy today, you have to strip that off once by hand, and the squeegee keeps it from coming back. And it is ten inches across, so a full height panel is several passes rather than one sweep. On a large enclosure this is a short job every day, not a fast one.

The mistake people make is treating it as optional. Skip a week and the glass tells on you. This is maintenance, not repair. Used every time you shower, you stop cleaning the door at all. Used now and then, you just own a squeegee.
