Lint rollers run out. That is the whole problem with them, and it is why there is one in a drawer somewhere in your house, half used and stuck to itself. The vacuum you reach for instead fails differently. The hose sounds busy, and when you switch it off the fur is still hooked into the weave.

This one is a glove. It builds a charge as you wipe, and the fur rolls up and comes off the palm in one piece, which you drop in the bin. There is nothing to refill and nothing to throw away when it is done. It is the same glove tomorrow.

Where it earns its keep is upholstery, and clothes you are already wearing. It lives by the door for the fur you find on yourself on the way out. Being a hand is half of it. It gets into the seam where a cushion meets the arm, and a flat roller will not lie down in there.

Clear the palm while the fur is still gathering, not at the end of the job. Once the palm is covered there is no bare surface left for the next pass, and that is usually the point where you decide it has stopped working.

Where it does not work: a whole couch. A roller is faster over a large flat surface, and on a very tight weave you will go over the same spot several times before the charge does much. Fur that has been walked down into carpet pile is under the surface, and this works on top of things. Treat it as a supplement to a roller, not a replacement for one.

Work out where the fur actually is before you buy anything. If the honest answer is the rug and the middle of the sofa, buy refills. If it is one chair arm, the car seat, and the coat by the door, it earns the hook. Four thousand ratings at 4.1 is a working score, not a rave.
