Brushing a shedding dog indoors does not remove hair from your house. It moves it off the animal and into the air, and from there onto everything downwind for the rest of the week.

This attaches the brush directly to a vacuum, so the undercoat goes into the canister at the moment it leaves the dog, not onto the floor. Seven tools come with it.

The alternative, brush first and vacuum after, fails on timing. The fine undercoat is still airborne when you start the vacuum, and it settles hours later on what you just cleaned. Brushing outdoors works, but only with a dog that stands still outdoors, in weather you will stand in.

The thing that decides whether this works for you is not suction. It is noise. A vacuum has a motor, and this one runs close to the skin of a nervous animal. Some dogs accept it in a week. Some never do. Test that before you spend anything: run the vacuum you already own during a normal brushing session and watch the dog. A dog that leaves the room has told you. If you buy it anyway, introduce it switched off, then running in another room, before it ever touches them.

The second limit is scope. This catches hair on the way off the animal, and that is all it does. The hair already in the rug and the couch stays there. If your dog does not carry an undercoat, there is little for it to pull, and a rubber curry brush covers it.
